She currently has a Hyundai Tucson (too miserable to post a picture) and wants more power and a car instead of an SUV. I'm in car recommendation heaven! If anyone has any other options that you might suggest, I would like to pitch them to her so she has a few cars to pick from. Also, thanks !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ; it was posted in a coincidental fashion to my predicament.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
She was going on about an Audi A4. I then pointed out an S4, because the A4 doesn't have as much power as she'd like. Then I pointed out the Chevy SS has a V8 with more horsepower and was $5,000 cheaper. She scoffed at first because it was a Chevy, and then I pointed out all of the great things about it. So far, she seems sold and wants to take a test drive.
She likes 'New', even though I've pointed out that a used car may be a better deal. I'm done floating that boat for now.
Any other cars I should pitch?

Does she know how to drive a manual?
It's never too late to learn...

Yes, but, for her, it's a pain in traffic.

I mean, I'd want the S4 about three times as much as the Chevy. But I do like the SS quite a bit. That would probably come down to personal preference.
Jag XF? Too spendy? I don't know. Any particular requirements you want to add?

Let her test drive one somewhere she can put her foot down. Then get her to drive the Audi and do the same. She won't look at the Audi after that. Worked for my mate's wife.

How about CPO Charger R/T or Genesis 5.0?

I'd take even a stripped out 335i over the SS. $44k for that thing?!
If she just wants a V8, would she be interested in the Mustang GT?

Verano Turbo. She'll save another $10k off the SS and have all the power she'll ever need in a car the size of the S4, but with better fuel economy than both.

Mention the Hyundai Genesis, Cadillac ATS V6, and Dodge Charger as well. Assuming she wants RWD or rear-biased AWD.

Has she considered moving? Ha!
See if you can convince her to test drive an E90 M3 (last built in 2011).
I love the looks of the A7/S7 and they get great reviews.
Volvo S60, new CTS Vsport, Acura TL (if you can get over the beak), something with an SRT8?
How much does she want to spend?

Yes.
ATS V6 is a good idea.

The 4-doors thing is important.

45K and under
RWD > AWD/4WD > (is so much greater than) FWD
Decent power
Luxurious enough

N2Skylark, my favorite (and least favorite) Jalopnik Buick fan. But you make a good point.

So...not stretching for the CTS-V then... I'd say, although haven't driven one, the SS might be a good fit. Taurus SHO might also be.
Edit: Realized the ATS or base CTS might fit, but not sure what "decent power" is to her.

Her opinion is that "I don't want a 4 cyl." because it doesn't have enough power. So I thought I'd go overboard...

Yeah, I knew I'd be on thin ice if I put the Verano Turbo in the mix with the Chevy SS and Audi S4. But I went with it anyway. Seemed like a huge jump to go from a Hyundai Tucson to an SS or S4.
A car like the Verano Turbo would be less of a shock. Plus, everyone I've recommended the Verano to has bought one and loved it. And it comes with a 6MT.

Genesis 5.0 R-Spec would be the perfect car for the money.

Chevy SS is cool. But what about the CLA45?

I would say try out a G37 Sedan. Best bang for buck if you want a RWD sedan.

If she's wooed by the idea of "new" I'm not sure she would be satisfied by an Audi that will be a generation "old" in about a year. The F30 3 series, however, checks all the boxes, offering an ideal balance of sport and refinement, as well as class leading tech and efficiency. The n55 is superfluous at this point with the wonderfully smooth, powerful, and surprisingly efficient n20 four almost nullifying the differential in power. A BMS chip will take it to S4 performance levels if 0-60 in 5.4 isn't quick enough to keep her interested, which I imagine it won't be considering she's transitioning from such a performance orientated vehicle. With its sculpted seats, unique suspension tuning, and thick leather wrapped steering wheel, the sport line transforms the volume leader into the quintessential entry level luxury sports sedan, highlighting BMWs famed suspension tuning in its ability to almost fully absorb a speed bump while still providing inspired handling; finally learning how to correctly tune the suspension to compensate for the run flat tires. Yes, the car has lost some of its character in its latest iteration, however it has managed to maintain its position in the upper echelon of entry level luxury sport sedans by providing a truly multifaceted driving experience (just make sure to go sport line or msport!), including 4 years of full maintenance and bmw assist, and lets not forget those ridiculous lease offers.
